This is the electrical kit I got to work on all of my electrical projects. It’s a haisstronica crimping tool set with a standard crimper, a bunch of swappable crimp dies, a wire cutter and stripper, and a carry case that holds it all.
The part that sold me is that you can change out the tips on the crimper. The catch is that my video is a walkthrough of the kit, not a long-term test, so I’ll be upfront about what I haven’t covered yet.
Quick take
- Swappable crimp dies: different size and different purpose tips you can just switch out
- Phillips screwdriver included, so you always have a way to change the dies
- Standard crimper with the usual color-coded crimp sizes and a manual release
- Wire cutter and stripper with a wide range of sizes, spring-loaded with a lock
- The catch: this is a first look, so no long-term durability notes yet
What I liked
You can change out the crimping tips
The cool part about this kit, and part of why I got it, is that you can change out the tips on your crimping tool. All of the dies in the case are different sizes and different purposes, and you just switch them out depending on what you’re working on.

The screwdriver is part of the kit
Because the dies swap out, the kit comes with an included Phillips screwdriver. That way you always have the right screwdriver on hand to switch the tips on the crimp tool, and it lives in the case with everything else.
A pretty standard crimper, with a manual release
The crimp tool itself is pretty standard. It comes with your standard crimp sizes, the color-coded ones, which is always useful if you’ve done anything electric. It releases once you go all the way through and crimp, and you also have a manual release.
A wire cutter and stripper that covers a lot of sizes
An electrical kit wouldn’t be complete without a wire cutter and stripper. This one covers a pretty wide variety of sizes and is your standard spring-loaded style with a lock.
Everything packs into one case
It all packs up in a neat little carry case, which makes it easy to keep on hand for all your electrical projects. That’s going to be my on-hand electrical kit.
Things to know before you buy
- This is a walkthrough, not a stress test. I show what’s in the kit and how the pieces work, but I didn’t put it through a big project on camera.
- You need the screwdriver to swap dies. That’s why it’s included in the kit, so keep it in the case.
What I didn’t cover
I didn’t list every die size, test the crimps on different wire gauges, or talk about how the tools hold up over time. If you need a specific terminal type, check the listing before you buy.
Install notes
There’s nothing to install. To change crimp dies you use the included Phillips screwdriver on the crimp tool. As always with electrical work, turn off power before you work on any circuit.
Specs from the Amazon listing
These come from the Amazon listing title. I didn’t test them myself:
- haisstronica crimping tool set
- 6 crimp dies
- Wire stripper
- Screwdriver included
Who it’s for
Good fit if you: do your own electrical projects and want one case with a crimper, swappable dies, a stripper and a screwdriver.
Maybe skip it if you: only crimp one terminal type now and then, or you need a tool you’ve seen tested long term.
Bottom line
It’s a pretty cool little kit that’s easy to have on hand for all your electrical projects. The swappable dies are the standout, and the screwdriver, stripper and carry case round it out. It’s my go-to electrical kit now.
