adidas Trionda Pro Review: The 2026 World Cup Ball

adidas Trionda Pro World Cup 26 match ball in its official box with carry handle

Heads up: this post contains affiliate links, and I may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you.

This is the official adidas Trionda Pro Match Ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. I got it on Amazon, and with the World Cup being in the US, I had to get one.

It’s a super cool design and the first ball I’ve seen without stitched seams. The one thing to know is that it’s thermal bonded, so you don’t want to flatten it.

I bought this ball myself.

Quick take

  • The official Pro match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup
  • Official packaging with a little carry handle
  • Thermal bonded seams, not stitched
  • Textured design with stars and other shapes
  • The catch: don’t flatten it, and this is a first look, not a match test

What I liked

The official packaging

It comes in the official packaging for the Pro ball. There’s a cool little carry handle up top for the brief time that you’ll keep it in the package, plus the FIFA logos and all the details on the bottom.

No stitched seams

The ball itself is really cool. It’s the first time I’ve seen this kind of seam design, where it’s not actually stitched. There’s a note on the side that talks about it being thermal bonded.

The surface has a little texture to it, with stars and other shapes.

The feel and the texture

It’s got a good feel, and you can see that the lines are more or less continuous. It has a little texture to it with the different stars and other shapes. Super cool design.

Things to know before you buy

  • Don’t flatten it. Because it’s thermal bonded, the box notes that you don’t want to flatten it.
  • This is a first look. I unboxed it and showed the design. I haven’t played with it in the video.

What I didn’t cover

I didn’t kick it, test the bounce or flight, check the size or talk about how it holds up on grass or turf. If you’re buying it to play with, check the listing details.

Install notes

Nothing to install. Just keep in mind it’s thermal bonded, so don’t flatten it.

Specs from the Amazon listing

These come from the Amazon listing title. I didn’t test them myself:

  • Official soccer ball of the FIFA World Cup 26
  • Thermal bonded seamless surface
  • Textured design

Who it’s for

Good fit if you: are a soccer fan who wants the official World Cup 26 match ball, or a cool piece to keep for the World Cup in the US.

Maybe skip it if you: want a casual ball to knock around. This is the Pro match ball, and I didn’t play test it.

Bottom line

The adidas Trionda Pro is a super cool ball, from the official packaging to the thermal bonded seams and the textured design. With the World Cup being in the US, I had to get one.
