This is the brushed nickel finishing strip I got on Amazon. I used it in the bathroom to fill the gap between the tile and the ceiling, because our ceiling was not perfectly level.
The finish turned out nice and clean. There’s one thing about working with metal trim that was different from what I expected.
Quick take
- Covers the gap between tile and ceiling
- Brushed nickel look that matches everything else in our bathroom
- Nice, clean finish
- Peel and stick, no carpentry
- The catch: it’s metal, so it runs really straight and doesn’t bend much to follow a wavy ceiling
What I liked
It matches the bathroom
It’s a nice finish, and it matches everything else we have with the brushed nickel look.

Clean line at the top of the tile
Overall, the finish on the strip is really nice and clean.
Things to know before you buy
- It doesn’t bend like wood. Because it’s metal, it runs really straight, and you don’t have much room to bend it up and down.
- You may still need caulk. I ended up caulking some of the space because our ceiling is still a little wavy.
What I didn’t cover
I didn’t show the install itself or how it handles corners and cuts.
Install notes
If your ceiling isn’t level, plan on caulking the gaps the strip can’t follow.
Specs from the Amazon listing
These come from the Amazon listing title. I didn’t test them myself:
- Peel and stick metal finish molding trim, stainless steel strip
- Brushed silver, 19.7 ft x 1 in
Who it’s for
Good fit if you: have brushed nickel fixtures and an uneven gap at the top of your tile.
Maybe skip it if you: need trim that bends to follow a very wavy surface.
Bottom line
It wasn’t quite as flexible as I expected, but the finish is really nice and clean, and it matches everything else in the bathroom.
