This is a pretty cool manual zebra blind system that we got off Amazon. It installs without drilling, you just pull it up or down by the bottom, and for the price it still looks pretty modern. There are a couple of things to keep in mind, though.
How the no-drill install works
- Clamp-in install. It’s adjustable on the ends.
- They give you a little tool to adjust the clamp. A plastic piece slides out and you use the tool to get it clamped in tightly.
- Trim piece. It’s a material piece that sticks on the sides, and you stick it in at the end.

Using it
It’s a cordless system: you pull on the bottom. Go to one point and the stripes line up so you can see out more, go a bit further and that’s the block-out. To raise it, push it up and it holds in place, and pulling down works the same way, so you can stop it wherever you’d like.
The downside: it doesn’t block much light
This doesn’t really block a whole lot of light. It’s more of a privacy thing than a way to block out all the light. If you need a dark room, this isn’t the one.
Good for bathrooms
I’m using it in a bathroom, so I didn’t want any thin material. This is a nylon-type finish, so there shouldn’t be any moisture issues.
Specs from the Amazon listing
These come from the Amazon listing title. I didn’t test them myself:
- No-drill, cordless zebra blinds
- Dual layer: light filtering and room darkening
- Free-stop lift
Bottom line
Not bad at all for a cheap and simple solution that still looks modern. Just buy it for privacy, not blackout.
