These are some nice heavy-duty tires that I switched out on my ride-on lawn tractor, a Husqvarna. I’ve got a fairly steep hill to go up and down, and this really made a huge difference.
What changed
Before, on the regular turf tires, I was slipping and sliding. With these, cutting on a steeper incline is possible, and it’s a whole lot safer. It helps a whole lot with grip, especially if the grass is at all damp or wet.
Front and back
- Back: I changed both back tires to these. They’re a little wider than what was on there before.
- Front: a different listing, same design, mainly for grip. I changed them to match.

Things to know: check your clearance
The rear tires are wider than stock. On my tractor I still have clearance on the side, and they come pretty close to the cutting deck, but there’s still enough clearance that it works. Check your own mower before ordering. Also, I’d used these for about three cuts when I made the video, so this isn’t a long-term wear review.
Specs from the Amazon listing
These come from the Amazon listing title. I didn’t test them myself:
- Front set: 15×6.00-6
- Rear set: 20×10.00-8
Bottom line
If your mower slips on hills, these made it a whole lot easier and safer for me. Here are both listings:
