Rev-A-Shelf tip-out trays open under a kitchen sink holding scrub brushes

I got these little flip-out storage trays for the front of my kitchen sink cabinet. I ordered them off Amazon and did the install myself, and they turn that dead space into a spot for your extra washing utensils.

What I liked

  • Simple install that I did myself
  • Uses wasted space on the false front under the sink
  • Opens easily
  • Useful. It holds brushes and scrubbers right where you need them.

Install notes

Typically the false fronts on cabinets are just nailed on. Pop that off, add the hinges (they go in at the ends), and switch it out for a tip-out tray.

Closed, it looks like the normal cabinet front.

Things to know

I personally didn’t put handles on mine. You’re standing and leaning over the sink when you wash dishes, and I didn’t want a handle bumping into me. That’s a choice, not a flaw, but it’s worth thinking about.

Specs from the Amazon listing

These come from the Amazon listing title. I didn’t test them myself:

  • Rev-A-Shelf 14-inch tip-out sink tray
  • Plastic, white
  • Model 6572-14-11-52

Bottom line

The install is pretty easy and it’s a useful addition to the kitchen.
